Rolf Oscarsson was born in 1946 in
Mariestad, Sweden. He grew up in Stockholm and lived there
until the age of 22. In 1968, Rolf moved to the United States,
unable to speak a word of English. Today, you have to listen
closely to even notice his slight Scandinavian accent.
As a child, Rolf grew up next to Swedish Film Industries (SF) in
Stockholm. This opportunity landed him the chance to be an
extra in several Ingmar Bergman films when they were shooting
at the local studios. During the summers in Stockholm, the
children would go off to colonies, similar to our summer camps,
where the inner-city youth would get a chance to escape to a summer
filled with skits, musicals and the arts. This gave him the
opportunity to explore acting at an early age. Today, as a
medical engineer, Rolf Oscarsson has been named in the "Who's Who of
America's Greatest Inventors." He developed his own company,
RAO Medical Supplies, and appeared on news programs and his own
promotional video. Although his acting abilities have not been
honed in on for some time, "Imperfections" gave him a chance to
perform once again, re-experiencing some of the enjoyment he had as
a kid in Sweden.
Rolf is currently developing medical
devices and products worldwide. As a resident of Hudson, Ohio,
he has also opened and now manages cell phone stores around his
area.
