Story

Vince Capelli (Tiller) has self-esteem issues.  He dwells on his physical flaws, or imperfections.  More than anything else, Vince views himself as fat, bald, and ugly.  These versions of Vince appear to him as though they were actually in the same room, though they are merely in his head.  His fiance (Marlett), co-workers, and future in-laws only add into his poor self-image.  With his wedding coming up soon, his best friend Jim (Maletic) tries to talk sense into him.  All the while, Vince attends self-help sessions in an attempt to overcome his issues and try to love himself for the first time.

Cast & Crew Bios

The Project

Imperfections was written in early 2005 by Matt Pallotta.  Between January and April of '05, the majority of the pre-production for the film was commenced:  script revisions, casting, location scouting, equipment purchases, shot scheduling, etc etc.  Filming for Imperfections began in early April and was wrapped up in late October.  One other extra scene was shot in early November.  Post-production was performed simultaneously with the production stage, though it went into early February until it was finished.

Imperfections was co-produced by CourTney Collins under the T-Productions title.   Early on in the pre-production stage, we brought on board Haley Litzinger to do the special effects makeup that is required for fat, bald, and ugly Vinces.

James Robert Ballard, our initial musician, was scouted out near the tail end of the production stage.  Ballard performed the majority of the jazzy soundtrack, as well as the theme music for the RED DUCK PICTURES logo.  Brought on board with the help of Ballard is Mark Alan Schulz.  Schulz did the classical music arrangement and incidental music.  Original pieces by various artists were also used in the film.  Imperfections contains music from the following artists:  The Eric Harris Group, DJ $crilla, Charlie Wiener, Evan Davis, Jon Mosey, Sean McFalls, eft and Matt Pallotta.

With help from our crew, we filmed weekly for seven months to produce a quality product.  Our lead crew consisted of the following:  Matt Moore, John Parrish, Vic Pallotta, and Eric Centanni.  We had the ability to do extensive, detailed shoots in a short amount of time, consisting of such productions as diner and wedding scenes that entailed many extras.  Without our professional crew, we would not have been able to wrap up such a long project in such a short amount of time.
