(Music)

Mark Alan Schulz was born in 1961 in Pennsylvania.  Mark is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, which helps in his understanding of the nuances of arranging and scoring for the big screen.  Mark wrote, arranged, scored and recorded the documentary Akron Women: Another Look At History for PBS this summer and has a follow-up project coming this August.  He is currently arranging the music for the documentary Diving the Wrecks of the Great Lakes for the History Channel.

Mark does studio work and has appeared on albums for such local heroes as Charlie Wiener, Evan Davis and Jon Mosey.  He also plays cello, guitar, keys and mandolin on the upcoming tribute album to John Bassette.  He plays the guitar in “Trebbianos”, a jazz quartet that gigs in the Akron area.  He previously played guitar and keyboards with the classic rock band "Dartanion."

Mark is currently finishing a double Masters degree in Music Technologies and History and Literature.  You can always find him playing cello for the University of Akron Symphony the last Thursday of every month.
