Red Duck Pictures is the
movie label that has been created for the independent films and projects produced by Matt Pallotta
and associates.
We began shooting the first project under the Red Duck title in early 2004. The project was named Atonement. The trailer was shot and nearly all pre-production
had been completed within the first few weeks from writing the script.
As a first attempt, the project was grounded due to the lack of funds and
loss of the lead actor. In the following months, the film
Imperfections was written and pre-production for the feature film was
quickly tackled. Imperfections was the first film to be fully
produced by Red Duck Pictures. Presented locally, the premiere for the
film gathered an attendance of over 1200 viewers. Since then, Red Duck
Pictures has produced a handful of small projects, webisodes and a short
film Lies in the Reflection. Currently we are producing a web
series The Road to Sundance: on a shoestring budget, a comedic look
into the lives of independent, low-budget filmmakers. Not a far
stretch...

Matt Pallotta - Director/Producer
Born in December of 1981 in Akron, Ohio,
Matt began to take an interest in video at an early age. Experimenting
with the family's video camera and equipment, he soon discovered his passion
in life: directing and producing. While in school at Kent State
University, he became acquainted with CourTney Collins, his co-producer for
Imperfections and Lies in the Reflection. Collins is
also designing the viral media for the web series The Road to Sundance:
on a shoestring budget.
Over the years, the production quality
and expectations have risen, thus, we at Red Duck Pictures are determined to
make a mark with our material. And, with much hope, this is merely the
beginning of a long and successful road within the realm of production.
